Profesi Pendidikan Dasar (PPD) is an open-accessed and peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Department of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, in collaboration with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (HDPGSDI). PPD focuses on elementary/primary education from an excellent perspective. PPD aims to be a media of communication, information, and discussion of elementary education such as instruction, curriculum, management, guidance and counseling, psychology, and teacher training.

<![CDATA[ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) ia an integratied system of the countries in Southeast Asia that enable and facilitate the free trade system. Since 2015 the AEC has been officially started, and many foreign companies has been opened in Indonesia. However, the quality of Human Resources (HR) in Indonesia is lacking to confront AEC’s system. It can be seen from the number of unemployed people in Indonesia and Indonesian citizen education level is still low. This shows a lack of quality in education. Departing from this problem, the authors conducted research at the international elementary school, SDII Al Abidin Surakarta. This school has excellent programs that can be developed and replicated in order to improve the quality of Human Resources (HR) since elementary school. This research aims to study programs that are run in order to deal with AEC. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed some excellent programs that are owned by SDII Al Abidin Surakarta which can be used as a weapon to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The programs are international curriculum, three varians grade programs, and extracurricular.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of thematic learning modelbased integrative sosiokultural for students of class III Elementary School in Purbalingga.The research design was quasi experimental with one group pre-test and post-test design. The subject of research involved are students of class III SD N Pengadegan Pengadegan 1 and 2 a total of 56 students, where each class consists of 28 students. In this research, students of class III SD N Pengadegan 1 is determined as the control class (with thematic learning-integrative usual) and the third grade students of SD N Pengadegan 2 as the experimental class (using the model of thematic learning-integrative-based sociocultural. The results showed that there were differences the final results were significant between control classes using model-integrative thematic regular and classroom experiment that uses thematic learning model-based integrative socio-cultural. it is obtained from the t-test with p 0.05 then there is also a significant difference,namely with sig = 0.0006.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to describe the perception of teachers towards the preparation of the implementation of an integrated thematic learning curriculum in 2013 and the perception of teachers towards the implementation of integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 in SD Muhammadiyah Surakarta 24. The research is a qualitative research study design used is phenomenological. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. For the validity of the source data using triangulation and triangulation techniques.It can be concluded that the perception of teachers towards the preparation of the implementation of an integrated thematic learning curriculum in 2013 is to prepare and understand the student book and teacher books before doing the learning. RPP to make some adjustments tailored to the needs of learners. Providing tools and learning media to be used. The media being used does not have any teachers make instructional media, teachers to sort out which material that is considered difficult requiring the use of instructional media, and perceived easy not to use instructional media. Prepare assessment instruments. Perception of teachers on the implementation of thematic learning integrative curriculum in 2013 that the learning has been interesting, learning students are invited active discussion, ask questions so that learning is not only one way, by learning to use the themes in the study, so that the learning can be achieved many learning objectives, learning teacher led to create lesson plans in advance, so that during the learning process the teacher already knows what needs to be done to facilitate the teacher to make a step in teaching.]]>

<![CDATA[Information and communication technologies that facilitate the service of the man, in fact also accelerate the negative effects for the existence of values  that has evolved in this masyarakat. Pernyataan evidenced by the spread of violence committed on school-age children, sexual abuse, a lack of values  of decency against the old, free sex, abortion, and others. The spread of this phenomenon is inseparable from the development of information and communication technology that has now become the primary needs of a person. This research is categorized into field research (field research) were designed using qualitative approach with case study method (case study). The data collection techniques were used in this research through interviews, observation, field notes (field notes), study the documentation, and literature. Results of research conducted in SDN Batang-Batang Power I declare that there is some development programs educational value, including the value of education is integrated into the curriculum in 2013 (K-13) and the development of value by maximizing the role of parents in monitoring every activity of children in the home environment through liaison book. The book serves for monitoring the activities of children at home every day ranging from learning, prayer, reading the Koran, refined language (Enggi Bunten), and helping the elderly.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the ability of fifth grade students' reading comprehension is low, evidenced by the students do not understand and comprehend the content of reading, students had difficulty answering questions relating to the content of reading, as well as the average value of students still under KKM. This study aims to determine the effect of learning methods talk think write on the ability of reading comprehension folklore in class V SD Negeri 1 Cidempet of Arahan District of Indramayu Regency. This study was an experimental study. The population in this study were students of class V SD Negeri 1 Cidempet of Arahan District of Indramayu Regency totaling 22 students. The sampling technique used is total sampling where authors set into the sample population. So the study sample used is a fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Cidempet of Arahan District of Indramayu Regency totaling 20 students. Data collection techniques used is to write test. Data analysis techniques in this study is the normality test and test hypotheses (z test) is used to determine the effect of learning methods talk think write to the reading comprehension of folklore in class V SD Negeri 1 Cidempet of Arahan District of Indramayu Regency. Based on test results using a statistical hypothesis test obtained Z hit (7,458) Z daf (2.35), then thank Hi means that there are significant learning method talk think write to the reading comprehension of folklore in class V SD Negeri 1 Cidempet of Arahan District of Indramayu Regency. The conclusion of this study is the application of learning methods talk think write on the ability of reading comprehension folklore in class V SD Negeri 1 Cidempet of Arahan District of Indramayu Regency. Suggestions in this study is teachers can implement a wide variety of learning methods in the implementation of learning so that students are active in studying and understanding the concepts being taught, and teachers should use teaching methods talk think write to improve reading comprehension folklore.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of using guided discovery learning method for IPA learningoutcomes. Variables that examined are the learning method that consists of guided learningmethods discovery, conventional method, and student learning outcomes IPA. This research isquasi experimental study. Experimental design to be used in the form pretest-posttest controlgroup design. The population were all fourth grade students in elementary school Gedanganak01 West Ungaran and SD Negeri Langensari 01 West Ungaran. The experiments given classtreatment guided discovery learning method and the control class were given conventionaltreatment methods. Data collection techniques of this study is test to measure student learningoutcomes IPA. Analysis of data using (1) the descriptive statistical techniques to describe thecharacteristics of science learning outcomes; and (2) of inferential statistics by t-test to testthe hypothesis of the study with assisted SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that thereis significant influence learning method guided discovery to learning outcomes IPA. This wasshown by the differences in learning outcomes in science subjects between learning by usingguided discovery with conventional learning. These results are based on t -.test Gain Score withSig. 0.012 α (0.05).]]>

<![CDATA[The research was intended to describe the congruence between English learning material and curriculum in the third year in SD Al-Irsyad Surakarta. The problems discussed were 1. What English learning material was 2. What the learning goal was 3. How the congruence between English learning material and the learning goal was.The research is qualitative. It is a library research. The approach used, in this case, was based on the teaching learning principles. The method applied in this research was analytical descriptive that utilizes library research and concentrated the attention on reference sources related to the topic discussed.The result of the research showed that the learning goal was very closely related to the learning material.]]>

<![CDATA[This purpose of the research was to determine the effectiveness of learning start with a questionmethods on geometry learning. The effectiveness of these methods would be compared withpresentation method. The method of this research was quasi experimental method with 2x1factorial design. The population in this study was the third semester students at PGSD IKIPPGRI MADIUN while the sample was 3G as an experimental class and 3C as the control class.The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Methods of data collection in thisstudy was test method and divided into two: pre-test and post-test. Data analysis techniquesused in this study is a t-test with two independent samples. The results of this study were learningstarts with a question method was more effective than presentation method.]]>
